Growing up in rural NSW among farming land and thriving gardens, Alice developed an early connection to plants and a genuine respect for nature; a passion that led her to landscape design.

Her work blends horticulture, built form and landscape character to create meaningful spaces for her clients. Whether designing subtropical gardens, colourful flower-filled spaces, structured gardens, wild landscapes or native coastal fusions, Alice brings a thoughtful, site-responsive approach that elevates the natural beauty beyond expectation. She creates a gateway for her clients to uncover their own unique landscape story through her design process. 

As founder and Creative Director of Alice Nichols Landscape Design, Alice approaches each project with clarity and sensitivity, crafting outdoor spaces that are cohesive, memorable and deeply connected to place. Alice believes that every place is connected through a grounded landscape network that tethers all of us to everything in an intrinsic and receptive way. 

Her previous senior positions in the public and private sectors allow Alice to communicate succinctly with architects, engineers and contractors to deliver projects in a field of work she loves whether it be residential, mixed use, subdivision, rehabilitation, playground or masterplanning upgrades.
