Preliminaries are the necessary initial steps required for all projects and include a brief, site visit, consultation, analysis of existing spaces and discussions around the early design ideas, the design intent and inclusions.

The Landscape Concept Design phase captures the main landscape and garden ideas for each area and their relationship to the overall site and includes a package containing a set of plans, drawings and imagery to illustrate the landscape concept ideas. Hand drawn perspectives and 3D renders help to visually showcase material and plant combinations incorporated in the scheme.

Design Development and Documentation uses the landscape concept design and progresses plans into scaled and detailed hardscape and softscape plans. Plans are accompanied by planting and material schedules, callout notes, specifications and landscape notes. 

DA and CC Landscape Submission Plans seek permission from Council to use proposed landscape plans for external works, that comply with the local authority rules and regulations. The landscape submission plans incorporate the clients brief while managing environmental factors, water management, open space, existing elements to be retained/removed, earthworks, access, privacy, boundary treatments, proposed planting, endemic plant inclusions etc and typically accompany new build lodgements. 

Implementation Phase requires procurement of plants and materials. Specific plant species selections are cognisant to our designs and embodies Alice’s extensive horticultural expertise to ensure each project has its own bespoke planting design implemented. This phase concludes with Site Observation to ensure the overall design intent is executed accurately during installation.
